Classification and application of non-woven fabrics

Nonwoven fabric scientific name: Nonwovens, also known as nonwovens, nonwoven fabrics, nonwoven fabrics, nonwoven materials. Nonwovens technology is a material processing technology which originates from textile but goes beyond textile.

The classification of non-woven fabric is as follows:

I. Classification according to production process:

1. Spunlaced non-woven fabric:

A layer or layers of fiber webs are reinforced by spraying high-pressure microstreams of water onto them to tangle the fibers together.

2, heat bonding non-woven fabric:

Refers to the addition of fiber or powder hot melt bonding reinforcement material in the fiber net, the fiber net after heating, melting and cooling reinforcement into cloth.

3, pulp air flow into mesh non-woven fabric:

Also called dust-free paper, dry papermaking non-woven fabric. It is the use of air mesh technology to loosen the wood pulp fiberboard into a single fiber state, and then use the air stream method to make the fiber agglutinate on the mesh curtain, the fiber net reinforcement into cloth.

4, wet non-woven fabric:

The fiber raw materials placed in the water medium are loosened into a single fiber, and different fiber raw materials are mixed at the same time to make fiber suspension slurry. The suspension slurry is transported to the net forming mechanism, and the fiber is formed into a net in the wet state and then reinforced into cloth.

5. Spinning and bonding non-woven fabric:

After the polymer has been extruded and stretched to form a continuous filament, the filament is laid into a net, and then the fiber net through self-bonding, thermal bonding, chemical bonding or mechanical reinforcement methods, so that the fiber net into non-woven fabric.

6. Melt-blown non-woven fabric:

The technological process: polymer feeding → melting extrusion → fiber formation → fiber cooling → net → reinforcement into cloth.

7, acupuncture non-woven fabric:

A kind of dry non-woven fabric, acupuncture non-woven fabric is the use of needle puncture effect, the fluffy fiber net reinforcement into cloth.

8. Stitched non-woven fabric:

Dry non-woven fabric is a kind of sewing knitting method is the use of warp knitting coil structure on the fiber net, yarn layer, non-textile materials (such as plastic sheet, plastic thin metal foil, etc.) or their combination of reinforcement, in order to make non-woven fabric.

Ii. Classification by use:

1. Non-woven fabrics for medical treatment and health:

Operating clothes, protective clothing, disinfectant bag cloth, mask, diaper, civil rag, wiping cloth, wet face towel, magic towel, soft towel roll, beauty supplies, sanitary napkins, sanitary pads and disposable sanitary cloth, etc.

2. Non-woven fabric for home decoration:

Wall cloth, tablecloth, bed sheet, bedspread, etc.;

3. Non-woven fabric for clothing:

Lining, adhesive lining, floc, shaping cotton, various synthetic leather sole cloth, etc.;

4, industrial non-woven fabric:

Filter materials, insulation materials, cement bags, geotextiles, covering cloth, etc.;

5, agricultural non-woven fabric:

Crop protection cloth, seedling cloth, irrigation cloth, insulation curtain, etc.;

6. Other non-woven fabrics:

Space cotton, insulation and sound insulation materials, linoleum, smoke filter, tea bags, etc.
