Melt-blown PP non-woven fabric, as a key raw material for masks and medical protective clothing, is also in great demand for raw materials under the condition that manufacturers of epidemic prevention materials such as masks and protective clothing are increasing. There are even many manufacturers issued "I have a mask machine, but no melt-blown cloth" exclamation, why the melt-blown cloth is so difficult to find?

It is understood that many domestic enterprises have some experience in melt-blown non-woven fabric production line, but the cost of production equipment is still high, general enterprises can not immediately plan to put into production, unlike the automatic production line planning of mask machine. Melt-blown cloth is difficult to find the supply of raw materials, equipment production line is less, low output, late resumption of work, large demand. Melt-blow spinning technology has developed rapidly since the commercialization of melt-blow technology by EXXON in the 1960s. Melt-blow nonwovens can be designed to perform the required filtration function, so that melt-blow filtration products can systematically replace traditional materials in various fields.

The microfiber (0.015den) of melt-blown nonwovens and the three-dimensional curved structure formed by fiber self-adhesive and entangling in space are completely different from the fiber distribution in traditional fabrics and carded mesh nonwovens, so that melt-blown nonwovens have larger specific surface area, higher porosity (≥80%), and more subtle voids (aperture ≤1μm). The excellent filtration performance is much higher than that of other ordinary filtration materials.

Melt-blown nonwovens have been widely used in Marine anti-oil adsorption materials, industrial dust prevention, air purification, industrial filter media, automotive materials, battery diaphragm, medical and health materials, tobacco filter materials, thermal materials, insulation materials, household and industrial wipes and so on, and have a huge market prospect.

Since 1980s, melt-blowout filtration materials and oil-absorbing materials have become the fastest growing products in industrial nonwovens. Currently, they have been widely used in developed countries such as Europe, America and Japan. They are mainly used in various liquid-solid, gas-solid, gas-liquid, liquid-liquid separation and filtration, oil spill adsorption, health protection, insulation and other aspects. It is one of the indispensable application materials in environmental protection industry.

The resin slices are fed into the screw extruder, which is heated and fused and extruded from the nozzle. The molten polymer at the outlet of the die head is stretched by high-speed hot air flow, and the cold air is supplemented from both sides of the die head to cool and solidify the fibers to form microfiber. Under the action of the air flow, the short fibers agglutinate to the fiber collection device to form a fiber net or core tube.

Melt-blowing process is a step molding process from thermoplastic resin slicing to fiber mesh belt (cloth/core), so the process is short, product step molding, high production efficiency. By adjusting the combination of melt-blowing process, the product structure combination of different fiber diameters (0.5-30μm) and fiber mesh pore size can be achieved, so as to meet the design requirements of various filtration functions. Melt-blowing process is suitable for a wide range of raw materials, suitable for processing polypropylene, polyester, nylon and other materials, polypropylene material accounts for more than 95%. The fiber mesh structure of melt-blown products relies on its own thermal adhesion and entanglement, without any chemical adhesives, additives, pollution-free generation.

In addition, not all melt-blown non-woven fabrics are suitable for the filtration layer in the middle of medical grade protection, only electret melt-blown non-woven fabrics can achieve a certain filtering efficiency.
